Why Thailand?

Awarded one of the top travel destinations in the world by Trip Advisor, Thailand is a sacred place where people from all over the world journey to for personal and spiritual transformation.

In our 8 day/7 night “Medicine for the Soul” expanding retreat, you will experience soul exploration, inner peace, adventure, rejuvenation, joy, compassion, connection and community.

Thailand was intentionally chosen as our location as their culture exemplifies:

  • weaving the sacred into everyday life

  • the joy and compassion of living from the heart

  • recognizing our profound interconnectedness with one another, the Earth and all that is sacred to us

We have secured a beautiful sanctuary for this small, intimate retreat and the space is only open to those participating in the Soul Medicine retreat.    It is just outside the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand.

The Taladya Homestay, owned by a French family from Bordeaux is a beautiful retreat center located 20 minutes from Chiang Mai and 30 minutes from the international airport. Patrick and Nathalie fell in love with Thailand and now want to welcome people from all over the world to discover Thailand’s beauty in all its forms. This small and intimate retreat center is limited to 8 participants as their focus is to create a warm environment of connection and community. Their luxury accommodation include six rooms that reflect contemporary Northern Thai design and decor with the emphasis on comfort. You will find special touches, such as local celadon tea set, Thai silk pillows, bed runner and artworks, giving all rooms a distinctive Chiang Mai personality and charm. All rooms have view of the swimming pool and all have hardwood floors, a comfortable bed, flat screen TV, free wifi, air conditioner, minibar, and safety deposit box. The surroundings of Taladya Homestay include: local markets, temples, ricefields, nature walks in  mountain and the city of Chiang Mai. The owners also actively support medical research to support an organization called “Helping Hands”.

Be sure to check out all the raving reviews about Taladya Homestay: “We spent a week with Patrick and Nathalie back in February 2018, and cannot rate their welcome more highly. Fantastic people who open their beautiful home to you and make you feel like you are old friends instantly. They shared their love of Northern Thailand and local knowledge with us, making us great fans of the area. Definitely a different experience from staying in a hotel.” Emmanuelle, London (Trip Advisor)

Thai food is known for being so delicious! Many authentic Thai dishes are super healthy as this cuisine contains many “super foods” and spices that work together to give your immune system a boost. We will have the opportunity to visit a market and learn how to cook a yummy Thai meal together. We will enjoy many of their favorite fresh ingredients such as turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, lime, garlic and coconut milk. Western cuisine will also be available and the cooks are very good at supporting us with any dietary requests.
